Gerald (Jerry) Woods

I am a retired attorney living in Augusta, Georgia. Photography has been a passionate hobby for me for over thirty years. My primary interest was landscape and travel photography, but my interests expanded to street photography and, most recently, the creation of composites or collages. In my early years I attended workshops at Palm Beach Photographic and Rocky Mountain School of Photography but have relied most recently upon much instruction from the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops in particular. Over the years I have learned much from workshops lead by George DeWolf, Tim Cooper, Marc Muench, Ed Riddell, Jim Zuckerman, and others. I have traveled with Jim to Carnevale di Venezia and to Iceland.

The dependence upon shapes, lines, symmetry, and tone make black and white photography a special interest for me as a more creative and artistic genre.

My more recent efforts at composites or collages has been driven by an online photo artistic program offered by Sebastian Michaels, who is an excellent Photoshop instructor and a truly inspiring artist.
